Button Shy Games in the UK

Button Shy Games has recently started shipping from a UK hub. I’ve ordered a few games and wanted to share about my experience.

For those that are unfamiliar, Button Shy Games makes small inventive card games, of usually no more than eighteen cards, in a game, that come with a small plastic wallet. Tom from Shut Up and Sit Down has a fantastic video review of some of their games.

I’ve ordered from them on three separate occasions, and found the process initially a little confusing, and so I thought I’d outline what to expect.

There is a filter to see what’s available in the “UK Hub” on the left-hand side of the store. Ordering from the UK hub offers significantly cheaper shipping.

When adding a game or expansion to your cart make sure to select the version prefixed with “(UK only)” otherwise you’ll be purchasing a game shipping from the US!

After adding everything to your cart, if your cart’s total exceeds $30 (you will be paying in U.S. Dollars even though it’s shipping from the UK) you’ll qualify for free shipping, otherwise shipping is $5.

Button Shy will then send you an order confirmation. This order confirmation won’t have an estimated dispatch date, and in my experience dispatch can range from nine days to three weeks.
